What changes a smile

Teeth darken with age, and coffee, tea and smoking leave marks. Old fillings discolour and edges wear down. Much of this can be improved gently.

How we approach it

  1. Consultation

We talk through what you’d like, and first check that your teeth and gums are healthy.

  2. Philips Zoom whitening

In the practice, in three to four 15-minute cycles. We recommend a professional clean about a week before.

  3. Whitening trays

Custom trays for whitening at home or topping up.

  4. Veneers

Very thin ceramic shells that change the shape and colour of individual teeth.

  5. Tooth-coloured restorations

Composite and ceramic inlays instead of visible metal fillings.

Your questions

Treatment

Whitening or veneers?

Whitening lightens your natural tooth colour. Veneers also change the shape of individual teeth. We’ll work out what suits you at the consultation.

Comfort

Will my teeth become sensitive?

Mild, temporary sensitivity is possible and usually passes quickly. Cleaning beforehand helps prevent irritation.

Timing

How long does it take, and how long does it last?

Whitening is done in one appointment; veneers usually take two to three. How long whitening lasts (several months to a few years) depends mostly on what you eat and drink.

Cost

What does it cost?

Aesthetic treatments are private services. You’ll receive a written estimate beforehand.
